Novavoy is an AI-powered learning app built by Next Step Labs. We create personalized learning missions that turn curiosity into adventure. This policy explains how we handle your information along the way.

2. What We Collect

Before launch (waitlist)

Right now, the only information we collect is your email address when you sign up for our waitlist. That's it. We use it solely to let you know when Novavoy is ready for launch.

Once the app launches

When Novavoy launches, we may collect the following with your explicit permission:

• Account information -- your email address and display name
• Learning progress -- the topics you explore, missions completed, XP earned, and achievements unlocked
• Usage analytics -- how you interact with the app (which screens you visit, session length, feature usage) so we can make the experience better
• Subscription status -- whether you're on the free tier or Novavoy Pro, so we can unlock the right features

3. What We Don't Collect

This is just as important as what we do collect. Here's what we will never do:

• We will never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Period.
• We will never share your data with third parties for marketing. Your information stays between you and Novavoy.
• We will never track you across other apps or websites. We have no interest in what you do outside of Novavoy.
• We will never collect sensitive personal data such as your precise location, contacts, health data, or financial information beyond what Apple handles for subscriptions.

4. How We Use Your Data

Everything we collect has one purpose: making your learning experience better.

• Your learning progress helps us personalize missions to your knowledge level and interests
• Usage analytics help us understand which features are working well and which need improvement
• Your email lets us communicate important updates about your account and the app

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we have no plans to ever do so.

5. Your Consent Matters

We believe in asking first. Before we collect any data, we will clearly explain what we're collecting and why, and we'll ask for your explicit permission. You can change your mind at any time through the app's privacy settings.

If you decline optional data collection (like analytics), the app will still work. You might miss out on some personalization features, but the core learning experience will always be available to you.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure authentication and access controls
• Regular security reviews
• Minimal data retention -- we only keep what's needed for the service to function

While no system is 100% invulnerable, we take the security of your data seriously and continuously work to protect it.

7. Your Rights

Your data is yours. You have the right to:

• Access -- request a copy of all data we have about you
• Delete -- ask us to delete your account and all associated data
• Export -- download your learning data in a portable format
• Correct -- update or fix any inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent -- change your data collection preferences at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Novavoy is designed for curious adults, primarily those aged 25 to 45. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@novavoy.app and we will take immediate action.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies -- the bare minimum needed for the site to function properly (like remembering your waitlist signup). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

The Novavoy app itself does not use cookies. Data is stored locally on your device and synced securely to your account.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information -- though this doesn't apply to us because we never sell your data

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including:

• The right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
• The right to restrict or object to processing

Our legal basis for processing your data is your explicit consent, and the legitimate interest of providing and improving the service you've signed up for.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you through the app and/or by email before the changes take effect. We won't quietly change the rules on you. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
